A$AP Rocky is giving fans a sneak peek into the name of his third child with Rihanna.
Just days after Rihanna revealed she’s expecting their third baby, the “A$AP Forever” rapper, who is already a father to sons RZA, 2, and Riot, 22 months, shared some details about their naming process.
During an appearance on Late Night with Seth Meyers on May 7, host Seth Meyers congratulated Rocky (whose full name is Rakim Mayers) and asked about the baby’s name. “Your first two kids have ‘R’ names, and you both have ‘R’ names,” Seth pointed out. “Is it certain the third will have an ‘R’ name?”
Rocky confirmed, saying, “For sure,” indicating the new baby’s name will start with an ‘R.’
Though Rocky kept the full name under wraps, he expressed relief about no longer keeping the pregnancy secret. “It feels amazing, you know?” he told The Associated Press at the May 5 Met Gala, where Rihanna proudly displayed her growing baby bump. “We were tired of holding that, and it was time to show the people what we was cooking up. I’m glad everybody’s happy for us, because we’re definitely happy.”
Rihanna, whose full name is Robyn Rihanna Fenty, shared the same joy, smiling as she made her way up the stairs of the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City.
